  i'd like to know who you all are on the board.. you dont have to identify yourself personaly as i understand some need to be ingocnito.

  i am also curious to see if any of my old childhood and adult life friends have made it onto here.. me: lived in ballarat 70s, naracoorte in the 80s, adelaide in the 90s.

  traveled to york w.a as a teen and to alice springs and brisbane early twenties.. of course, if you need to be silent, thats fine too!

  want proof that the GB votes on doctrine

  i would like to find proof of this without refering to ray franz's c.o.c.

  material.. is there anywhere a charter, a letter, a document that states stuff like a majority vote needed etc?.

  been snooping around facebook and am amazed!

  (although i guess i shouldn't be) that the ordinary jw has no concept of the 'organization' in control.. every thing is 'jeh' 'jah' that, every teaching they support is attributed to jah.

  i get some sort of kick out some of the comments i read though! One guy wants a house in every country! And a car! and to name antartica after himself! There is swimming with dolphins, building each other homes etc, learning to play music, we all dreamed the dream at some point.

  I guess this is why they just cannot seem to cope with living in the present. The 'paradise' is such a carrot that even a good life now just doesn't cut it.

  like i thought! the in machinery is kept very secret, that wt article would be the closest i guess.

  My only other thought would be that as they have several legal corporations, voting is a part of that legal methodology. but that argument is subject to a jw saying 'well of course they have to vote on legal stuff but the holy spirit guides the doctrines'

  we need another GB member to get out!

  since i believe in honesty between marriage mates, i have been telling my wife about this board and my participation on it.

  i feel it is only right so that she won't feel like i have anything to hide.

  i tried to keep up with studying, only had jw friends, and always followed what the wt pubs said about how to date.

  if there was a brother that i was interested in, i'd ask if it would be okay to get to know him better.

  Dont forget, that book was likely written by some bunch of doddery old men who cant even remember what a date is? Some funny fruit? Think it might be something to do with sex? ooooooh, better make it really hard work for em!

  i would sure like to have a pdf of that kingdom ministry insert back in i think the september 2007 that said: it would not be proper for brothers and sister to meet together in small groups to study the bible.
